ree planting season is here! Grab a friend, a flatmate, your family or just bring yourself and come along to one of our planting days on Matairangi/Mount Victoria this winter. We are planting a Forest at the Heart of Wellington which will create habitat for native wildlife, reduce erosion, improve air quality and provide a wonderful green space for people to enjoy. Our volunteer tree planting events are a great way to enjoy the outdoors, to meet people and to help care for the environment.

We provide tools, gloves and training. You’ll need sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, a hat/beanie, waterproof jacket, a reuseable water bottle and some snacks.

This project is in partnership with Rotary Club of Wellington and Wellington City Council. It would not be possible without funding from the Matariki Tu Rakau Fund in commemoration of fallen soldiers.
